JERRY CANTRELL Pens Tune With COMES WITH THE FALL Guitarist
January 21, 2004Former ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell has reportedly collaborated with COMES WITH THE FALL guitarist William DuVall on one song for Cantrell's upcoming solo album. DuVall, who regularly plays with Cantrell as part of his backing band, is said to have penned the lyrics for the track, which reportedly features some of Jerry's trademark "killer" riffs. Cantrell, who parted ways with the Roadrunner label last year, has yet to announce a new label home.
In other news, Cantrell is one of several artists that are confirmed to appear at the "Experience Hendrix" concert on Sunday, February 22 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, Wa. Other musicians paying homage to the late guitar legend Jimi Hendrix include Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, LIVING COLOUR, INDIGENOUS, Hubert Sumlin, Mitch Mitchell & Billy Cox, Kenny Olson, DOUBLE TROUBLE and Eric Gales.
